Condom Use Guidlelines: The Do's and Dont's It is important to understand that in the rare case of a condom's failure, the failure can be mostly attributed to the improper storage and misuse of the condom. We've assembled some tips to help you get the most safety and enjoyment out of your condoms from justrubbers. With a wide variety of shapes, styles, and sizes to choose from we recommend trying a number of different varieties until you find the one that's right for you and your partner. So be safe and have fun! - Before using any condom, read and rely solely on its specific effectiveness claims, warnings and directions for use. Carefully follow the manufacturer instructions for use printed on inner side of product cartons, or on individual wrappers.
- Make sure and store your condoms in a cool dark place. Exposire to sunlight, heat, and / or humidity can degrade latex causing it to tear or rupture.
- The packages we ship are tamper evident. If a package is damaged, DO NOT USE.
- Never let a latex condom touch oil in any form - no petroleum jelly, no baby oil, no mineral oil, no vegetable oil, not even talcum powder. Oil rots rubber. Instead use personal lubricants designed for use with condoms such as ID Glide or Aqualube.
- Some products contain natural rubber latex which may cause allergic reactions. If you are allergic to natural rubber latex products, consult your physician for advice before use. You may use products such as the Durex Avanti (R), or Trojan Supra(R) non-latex condoms.
- Non-vaginal use of condoms can increase the potential of them slipping or being damaged. Please consult your physician for advice.
- During intimate contact, lesions and various body fluids can transmit STDs. Therefore, use a new condom before any such contact occurs.
- Condoms can have a shelf life of up to five years after the date of manufacture. Take care to look at package dates. If you cannot determine the date, or are unsure as to the age of the item, throw it away and choose a new one.
